For this project, I designed and developed GUIDEL, an innovative information retrieval plugin aimed at improving public safety in China’s tourism industry. By integrating the system into social media platforms, we collaborated with government agencies to monitor and assess the safety of popular tourist locations recommended by content creators. This tool not only helps protect travelers by identifying potential risks but also promotes sustainable tourism by directing visitors to lesser-known, economically disadvantaged areas, fostering regional development.
